    Dear members,

    Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at an Exposure events? Are you a natural leader with a flair for creativity? Exposure is calling out to YOU to join the family and become an Exposure Executive member! Exposure would like to kindly invite you to join the executive team of 2012, if you are interested please read on for further details regarding specific roles.

    Please also join us on the night as this is our final formal event of 2011. We would love to catch up with you all, reminisce on this past year, hear your thoughts about your time with Exposure and also any wild suggestions for the future!

    Hey all,

    As you may have already overheard, UPA is holding a photography conference next month and there will be some exciting speakers (keep your ears open for more details to come!) To introduce and also promote this exciting conference, we have decided to run a pre-conference event, a competition between the two universities - UTS vs USYD. This photography competition will be a challenge of both creativity and photography skills.

    Do you think you've got what it takes? Then we want YOU!

    Date: 8th October 2011
    Time: 11am - 3pm
    Venue: USYD Campus
    Meet up: 10am @ UTS Tower Building

    Competition rules

    Task theme: Photo Journey

    Set task: 5 unique items from a mystery box will be given to each teams. Using these items, teams must produce an artwork "photograph" that depicts their interpretation of "Photo Journey" within the set boundaries of the designated location. The set time to complete this task is 3 hours (including briefing).

    Registration

    If you are interested in taking part in the competition, please email your name to utsphoto@gmail.com ASAP - We can only take on two teams of 5 each (maximum) therefore spots are very limited, teams will be decided on a first comes first serve basis, so get in quick! (Teams will be announced Wednesday morning.)

    Prizes

    There will be some AMAZING prizes to be won (we are keeping it a secret for now) and also not to mention...MAJOR BRAGGING RIGHTS!

    We also want you...

    On the day, we will be needing support teams (more the merrier), videographers, photographers, event officers to help us on the day - please express your interest by sending your name and the role(s) you would like to fulfil. All members are welcome to join in on the event - We need your 100% support!!!! Come with banners, posters and anything UTS!

    Also, as you all know, USYD brags a beautiful campus (unlike our Jenga Tower) so this would also be a good opportunity to bring your cameras along and grab a few shots (or plenty) of the beautiful location - YES, we are promoting this event as a photo shoot as well!

    We would love that you all get behind and involved with this event!

    Hey guys,

    Hope studies for your imminent exams are coming along nicely, in an attempt to help you all de-stress a little, allow us to take you on a little photowalk.

    Here are the details of our next upcoming event:

    Event: Sunset Shoot - Mrs Macquarie's Chair
    Date: Saturday, 17th September 2011
    Time: 3pm - 6pm
    Location: Circular Quay - Mrs Macquarie's Chair


    We will be starting our journey at Circular Quay following through to the Botanic Gardens for a nice stroll, then onto Mrs Macquarie's Point to capture a spectacular harbour sunset. This will be a great opportunity to take in the sights of Sydney and have a relaxing Saturday afternoon away from the books.

    Hey all,

    Our next upcoming event will be our second workshop for the semester, teaching you guys about photo management and post processing. This is a good opportunity to learn how to take your photos to the next level or give your photos that extra special something! The workshop will introduce you to photo management software as well as demonstrate the creative potential of post processing. If you have laptops with Photoshop on it, please feel free to bring them and play along with the demonstrations.

    Hey all,

    Our first pizza/photo review night for semester 2 is coming up this Friday and we would love all of you to attend! Join us for a chat and some pizzas and mingle with other members of the club! There will be a slide show of photos from photo shoot 1: Watsons Bay which took place recently over the weekend.

    For those who were present at Manly, we welcome you to email your best 3 photos of the day to utsphoto@gmail.com so we can print them out for the rest of the members to review and appreciate! For those who did not attend the shoot, feel free to also email in 3 of your favourite photographs.

    Hi guys,

    Be ready this coming Saturday to join Exposure in our first photo shoot of semester 2 to Watsons Bay (South Head)! There will be plenty of opportunities for some great landscape photography, with beautiful scenery of South Head Reserve, Heritage Trail and an awesome lighthouse. Come for a relaxing day out or for some serious photography, there will be plenty to do no matter what.

    Hope your 2nd week of uni was epic! Just a quick reminder that next Monday 15th August, we will have our 1st workshop of this semester. This is a chance for YOU to learn basic photography skills and have a better understanding of all the common terminologies. Bring your camera along so you can apply what we talk about on the spot.
